Caroline Sutherland, Medical Intuitive
Medical intuition can be described as the ability to see beyond the commonly accepted levels of perception and into the subtle levels below the surface, as it pertains to the physical body and its processes.
The key to medical intuition or any other intuitive ability is a quiet, receptive mind. The rational or trained mind becomes the filter through which the intuitive impressions are received. Meditation, prayer, and quiet receptivity are all prerequisites for this ability. Medical intuition comes from the spiritual level—where everything is known.
Caroline's medical intuitive ability does not focus solely on the emotional or spiritual level, but focuses largely on the physical. Her eyes are wide open, in other words, she is fully aware, and practical suggestions occur in her conscious mind, such as What does this body want? What does this body need?
Of course, while one's emotions and spiritual sensibilities are taken into account, her strengths lie specifically within the physical realm, due to her extensive training in Environmental Medicine, where she worked as an allergy-testing technician for many years. This gift came to her when she was a physician's assistant and allergy-testing technician in a busy clinic devoted to Environmental Medicine. She had been trained in the use of highly specialized allergy testing equipment and began to hear a very distinct inner voice guiding her to areas of a patient's body and to specific substances that should be tested, yet were not ordered on the test forms. She dared to share the information that she was hearing with the physician and because he was an open-minded individual, agreed to evaluate its validity. As a result, in a short period of time, patients were reporting phenomenal results on their path to wellness, and quickly the clinic found itself with a year-long waiting list.
As soon as Caroline connects with a person it is immediate: she receives a flood of information. Some of the information relates to the foods that a person may have an allergy to, or specific irritating environmental factors, or a systems imbalance (hormones, the GI tract, immune system, weight problems etc.), as well as underlying causes, date of onset, and what may precipitated the imbalance.
Caroline's keen awareness of the individual allows her to suggest "corrections" that would assist one in bringing the body back into balance, in terms of diet, supplements, botanicals, homeopathy, lifestyle changes and other associated modalities.
After over two decades of experience working in the complementary or alternative medical field, Caroline's practice has flourished. In 1999 Louise Hay, founder of Hay House publishing in California, was inspired by her work, both as a client and a student. In the fall of 2001, The Body Knows was published. Caroline's book shares her unique and powerful insights as a medical intuitive, and instructs one how to really tune into their body and soul, and begin a path to wellness.
Caroline believes that optimum health is not a mystery, but a puzzle that can be pieced together through an awareness, intuition, and common sense.
